A Nail Biter!

I don't have great pictures to share, but I do want to tell you about a great ball game!
Colton has been playing "Fall Ball".  Which is really "the hottest, stickiest, most miserable time of the summer ball"!  Tonight was the last game.  His team has been really good.  They played 8 games.  They have won 6 of those games by 15+ runs.  VERY boring games.... but in a good way:)  You know what I mean, we were the ones with all the runs.....  Only one team beat his team.  It was the second game of the season, and they beat us by 15+ runs.  It was like the black plague hanging over their heads...  Got to beat the Braves....  practice for 3 hours every Saturday, got to beat the Braves.....

Do I need to say it again?  Got to beat the Braves!!!!!

Patriots vs. Braves

Top of 1st inning - Patriots:  no runs
Bottom of 1st - Braves, lots of runs!!  Well, only 6, but it seemed like a lot!

We were all sitting in the stands in shock!  Really????  Is this a jinx???  What in the world?  These boys can beat every other team.  They can ALL hit the ball.  Why are they not playing again against this team?

2nd inning - Patriots:  3 runs
Braves: 3 more runs

Score 9-3

3rd inning - Patriots:  0 runs, Braves: 0 runs....

4th inning - Patriots:  6 RUNS!!!!
Braves: 0 runs!!!

yep, thats' right.... 9 - 9 going into the 5th... that's like going into the 9th in little league:)

Patriots at bat - 6 RUNS!!  And the crowd goes wild!!!!!

Score 15 - 9.  Bottom of the 5th....  Braves up to bat!  Don't remember EXACTLY how it went, but I do know that the game ended with the Patriots winning 15 - 13!!

So the pictures below are of a celebration!!!

Ok, I didn't get the best pics!  I admit it!  I was too busy biting my nails:)  But it was worth every minute!   I love a good ballgame!  Especially when "my team" wins:)

Anonymous

Ok, to all my "followers" (ha,ha!!!)  I am going to follow Kelly's lead and "answer" some questions.  Or ask some:)!

Leslie, why can't we comment anymore as ourself?   Commenting is such a pain.  It never goes through when I try to do it????  Trying to do it Anonymous doesn't work either????

Facebook keeps trying to get me to put my password in my phone..... I was telling a friend at Colton's baseball game tonight about it and she said that I got hacked.  Who knows???  It feels kind of good to take a FB break:)

Beth, the only way I can keep up with you is through the pregnancy ticker on your blog.  Do you think I will ever get to see a beautiful baby girl????  At least a picture one day:)???  How about another picture of that belly before the baby makes her grand appearance???  Ok, just giving you a hard time, but I don't even know what your email address is:)

And Rebecca......  when I read your comment, I thought about this:

I have loved this piggy bank since you gave it to Colton.  As you can see, it is still in our house!  No, I didn't dig up some random photo, I took it just a few minutes ago!  It is one of a few things that still remain from his baby days!  Now, I have been thinking..... how crazy is that????  After almost 8 years, you changing jobs and then moving to Louisiana, etc... that we have reconnected and have this little piggy bank to talk about.  It means all that much more to me now:)

And Brooks is precious...  I can't wait to see pictures of  Parker.  I loved Brooks' one year pics.  Is that your house where you had his birthday party?  It looks really neat!

Rebecca and Beth......  you both have babies not yet 2 and one on the way.  My other favorite random blog besides Kelly's Korner is http://diaryofapreppymom.blogspot.com/

Don't know her.... don't know why I read her blog, but there is something interesting about her..... and she is in the same situation as you two.  She has a 1 year old and is due with her second in a few days.  Check out her blog.  She does alot of crafts and projects, etc....

Rebecca, do you look at Kelly's Korner blog?  If not, you have to check it out.  She has over 10,000 followers.... crazy:)

Ok, so here is my random questions blog.

Oh, and my boy hit two homeruns tonight!  I talk about people bragging on their children's athletic ability when they really aren't that athletic:)  Rod told me I did the same thing, but I told him I only brag to him and my family...  and on my blog..... and :)  you get the picture.... i guess i am guilty!!!!

Oh again, I got some really cool pictures of him hitting and rounding third.... I will post tomorrow (hopefully).  I have a camera that takes a continuous picture.  It is really neat!

Chilling....

These are some pictures that we took the last few days that we were at Tybee during July.

On the pier!

Wish I remembered what he is smiling so big about.... but how I LOVE that smile:)

The moon was over the ocean, it wasn't dark yet and it was gorgeous!

After swim team, he probably could be a lifeguard!

He was in a good mood that evening!

Rod took this picture with the camera on timer!  I really want to do beach pictures with a professional photographer but I have no where in my house to put any more pictures!  Oh well.... we will see!

By the way..............not on Facebook means more time to work on my BLOG!  Thinking the FB deletion was a REALLY good idea for me!

Treasures from the Sea

At low tide on Tybee, you can walk for a couple of miles out on a sandbar.  Colton and Rod went out every day to find treasures!  They found amazing shells and it is just really neat out there.  It reminds me of the children's book "The Five Chinese Brothers".

Priceless Memories:)!!!

Tybee with the Crew

Got three posts from our 10 days at Tybee...   These pictures are from when Mom, Donna, Randy and the Riddick crew were with us!  We had a great time!

Family pic at the Lighthouse!

"MY family"  so, so glad I have them to call my own:)

"The Boys" playing Bocce Ball.  I hear that Randy and Jonathan put the beat down on Rod and Daniel!  I love this picture of the four of them.  I took several but this was by far my favorite.  Don't you just love the look on their faces?  You can tell Randy is talking and the other three are laughing!  I can only imagine what he is saying:)

Do I need to comment?  Mrs, America???  Bathing Beauty?

Chilling!

How many pics like this did we take at Ocean Isle in the day?  We really had a lot of fun!

Colton hamming it up with his cousins!

There are times that I take random pictures and I end up loving them!  This is one of those pictures!  They are just hanging out, chillling, what "Tybee" is all about.... no rush, no worries, just relax and enjoy!

Got to feed the gators when you go to the Crab Shack!  You think they would advertise on my blog?  Maybe i could tell them I will let KK with her 10,000 followers know about them:)  j/k!!!

Lilly and JR!  Loved JR!!  He was nice, polite and very helpful!!!  Colton LOVED him too:)  Yes, we LOVE Lilly too!

My boys!

Got more to share about our stay at Tybee in July....  but need to go to bed!  School tomorrow:(

First Day of Second Grade!

Yes, it is hard to believe but our summer is over!  As sad as that sounds in some ways, it is nice to get back into a routine.  So goodbye Summer (I wish I could say goodbye to the summer weather), hello SCHOOL!!  We are looking forward to a great year!  Keeping our fingers crossed, praying, bribing..... everything we can think of!!!  So far, we are off to a good start:)

Father and son tradition - Open House!  Mom always has to work!!  Wonder why???

Wow, it was hard to watch him leave the K/1 hallway and go to the 2/3 hallway!  I could not believe it!  It was hard to watch, but at the same time, exciting!!  He is getting so old!  He has really changed so much and we are having such a good time!  I know it will seem like a blink of an eye before he is leaving Blandford and heading to middle school.  What will I do then?  Follow him????

I have taken a picture of him at the front door leaving for the first day for PreK, Kindergarten, 1st grade and now 2nd grade!  Just thought of a new post......  Getting all four of the pics and putting them together!  Got to work on that:)

Looks like he is waiting on the bus!  He actually gets in the car with me every morning!  Most mornings are frantic, rushed, not fun..... both of us to BES before 7:15 is a job in itself, but I wouldn't trade it for the WORLD!!

Heading to his class!

Colton and Andrew are not in the same class this year, but they are just two doors down from each other!

Is that fear on Mrs. Morris' face????

Nah, just love:)

o

Oh, that Michael:)  He makes me smile!!!  Mrs. Morris has her hands full with this crew!

Goof balls!

Yes, he is a character!  He makes Colton smile:)  and me too!!  I am so very excited about this year!  Mrs. Morris is an awesome teacher and I know Colton is going to learn so much!  Pray for her, she is going to need it!!!
