Colton watching....

his video from Santa!  The video was REALLY cute and watching him is even cuter:)  He was really excited.  The video is long, kind of him just sitting there, but I love the expressions on his face:)

Lighting the Night!

This is Eli and Abe!  Two precious boys with a mom that is very sick.

The parade was unbelievable!  It was fun, but bittersweet!

Sweet Eli, he was wide open and excited!

Rod said there were at least 40 golf carts.

This is our golf cart.  If you can see little feet climbing in the golf cart, those are Eli's.  Colton, Timothy and Abe were sitting on the back.  Eli was EXCITED!!!!!!

Golf Carts LIGHTING THE NIGHT!!!
It was an amazing event and the neighborhood all came out.  There was a spaghetti dinner after the parade, everyone put luminaries out.  It seemed like those that did not participate, stood in their yard and watched.  It was an amazing event!  I felt honored that Eli and Abe rode with us.  Eli doesn't feel comfortable with most people, but boy, he doesn't have a problem with me!  I had to stay on my toes with him the entire time.  He was a little excited and had a difficult time staying still!  And on the other hand, Colton was very calm:)  I think he knew I had my hands full!!!!

PRAY for a miracle!!!!

Oh how my heart aches....

I have shared with some of my "followers" :) the horrible circumstances a young family that lives in my neighborhood is going through.  I teach their son as well.  He is a precious child.  The community I live in is amazing.  This family has not lived here very long, do not know many people, but the people have done amazing things to help this family.  I am excited about the event tomorrow night because Eli and Abe are going to ride with us on our golf cart.  I was at their house last night for a few minutes and when I layed my head down, I cried myself to sleep.  This beautiful mom might not get to see her precious boys turn 8 like I just got to do with Colton.  These two precious boys are in a house with a mom that is VERY sick!!!  Extremely sick!  She has no hair, lost her vision, and I could go on and on!!!

It kind of puts it in perspective for the rest of us, doesn't it??

We have nothing to be depressed about, when you can consider what some people are going through.

Please pray for Jeremy, Ashley, my precious Eli, Abe and the rest of their family.  It is SOOO, SOOO sad!!!

It's Hard To Believe!

But, yes, my baby boy is 8 years old!

So hard to believe!

He wanted PacMan cupcakes!  Don't know why???

But here they are, and I thought they turned out cute!

We are headed to WILD ADVENTURES for his birthday!

The sky is falling!

This is what it looks like on my back patio (aka.. concrete slab)

It is an acornpalooza:)

It literally sounds like a war zone in my back yard.  If you are sitting in the den, the acorns are dropping on the table, grill, etc.... and they sound like gun shots.  I don't understand why every squirrel in southeastern Georgia does not come and have a feast!

Another story:  The other night there was a storm and the wind was blowing very hard.  We were asleep and all the sudden Rod and I both woke up to "gun shot" sounds.  We were both freaked out a minute, Rod jumped up to "check out" things before we both realized it was just the acorns:)  They have never been this intense before!  Very interesting;)

Anybody need some acorns?????

Glory Days!

Wow, what a difference a week can make!  The Rincon Raiders (U10 AllStar Team) played in their second tournament and came in second place!  They actually beat the team on Saturday that beat us today for the championship.  They were just worn out and the other team got the best of them.  But it was a HUGE tournament and they came in second!  Very exciting!!!!!

And, not only did the Raiders do much better, but Colton did MUCH better.  He played alot more and he played SO well!!!  Rod and I were so proud of him.  He played his position and he SCORED A GOAL!!!!!  It was SUCH a fun experience!!!

He got to be captain!

I love to watch him run!

Showing off his medal!

Rincon Raiders AllStars!!!!

Colton is two years younger than most of these kids.  Doesn't look like it does it?

PROUD DAD!!!

Oh, that boy of mine!!!  Love him so much!  This was such a great experience for him!  It was amazing to watch him play with this group of kids!!  He definitely learned alot and improved his skills!

Don't know what to say.....

ALL STAR:) or.... my boy has moves:)????

However you say it.... I love it!!!  Colton played up this year in soccer.  He played with the 3rd and 4th graders.  Our team was interesting and he was by far the most athletically gifted player on the team, but he doesn't always have "his head in the game".  Out team ran a close race for second place.  There were only 4 teams, but our record was 5-5 and the second place teams record was 5-4-1.  So, the team actually did pretty good considering that 3 of the 8 players had never played soccer before.

The first place team's coach chooses the allstar team and he chose Colton!  Yes, we are all excited about that!  But, he is 7 and most of the other players on the team are 9.  Two years of experience makes a difference.  Colton can hang with them all, but he hasn't quite gotten the skills of control and following directions.  He LOVES to power kick.  That is wonderful in some aspects, but doesn't do much good at this level when it comes to scoring goals.  He has carried his teams for so long and has to get used to the fact that he has to "trust" the defenders if he is playing forward.

And on the other hand, secretary and sideline monitor for the Goal Blasters (me) gets to actually sit and watch my boy play soccer.  And on the other other hand, he is not playing very much:)  He is the bench warmer.  He is the "freshman" that gets to play on the "varsity" team:)  But... I did get a few shots of him in action....

Love to see him using his athletic ability in the RIGHT way!!

The next two pictures crack me up!  Hannah is the girl that is sitting to the left of Colton in the pictures.  She played on our regular season team.  She can power kick a soccer ball like no girl I have EVER seen!  I can't tell if she is "coaching" Colton or "mothering" him.  He had just gotten a ball in the face before this picture so she was probably making sure he was ok.  I fell in love with her spunk and personality this soccer season!

And this.......  this reminds me so much of the book "Love You Forever".  I read it and CRY my eyes out.  Colton wants me to read it sometimes just so he can see me cry.  But I DO sneak in his room so many nights!  After good days and BAD days.... and I look at him..... and I CRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I love him so very much!!!  I want everything good and perfect for him in this world....  I want him to be happy, to love and be loved!!!  Please pray!!!  Please pray every day for this beautiful boy that I love so much!

Trick or Treat

And of course, we had a great time trick or treating as well.

Maverick and Ice Man from "Top Gun"

How cool are they?

Karate Kid in action!

Our pumpkin!

Some of the people in our neighborhood go "all out" for Halloween.  They even have a neighborhood decorating contest.  I had one pumpkin:)  Needless to say, we didn't win the contest, but we love checking out some of the other houses!

Farm Fun

We went to the neatest "farm" this weekend with the Wadleys.  We all had a blast.  I just had to post a bunch of pictures because there was so many things that we got to do!  We took over 150 pics, so this didn't even touch all the pictures!

The farm had a REAL pumpkin patch, corn maze, zip line, animals, hayride, corn cannon, corn crib (which reminds me of Grandma Demi's house:), etc....

One of the neatest places ever!!!  We all had a great time!

Happy Fall Ya'll!!!
