I can't even think of a name for this post!

We are settling into life on Tybee and loving it!  We went and played Bingo Friday night at the American Legion.  The picture below is of Ellie (the counselor at my school's daughter), Colton, Rebecca (Ellie's cousin), Kaylee and West.  Kaylee and West are our neighbors on Tybee.  Their mom is a veterinarian.  Yes, Colton has full time residents on Tybee to play with:)

Then Colton had a soccer game Saturday morning.  Colton joined this team on his own.  I did not sign him up.  That is a story in itself.  But.... we were not planning on doing an organized team or anything for spring, but Colton "joined" them one day at practice and the coach asked him to join officially.  This was "all Colton" and I love it.  It is YMCA soccer, which is not as "cutthroat" or "competitive" as Rec. ball.

He is already making friends with some of the kids:)

And then, we spent Saturday on the beach with Ellie, Rebecca and Rebecca's mom.  Ellie and Colton have been in class together in first, second and third grade.

Ok, we were doing some chores after the soccer game.  Ellie and Rebecca came up to the house in their bikinis.  They asked if Colton could go to the beach with them.  I told Rod that I had to let him go.  (We were planning on going, just a little bit later.)  That would have been devastating for two girls to come ask him to go to the beach for the first time since we moved to our new place and I had told him no.  It would have broken his heart:)  And, look at the smile on his face below!

Ellie gave Colton a "spa mud treatment".  I could not have stood to have all of that sand and mud on me.

Life is good!

Things that I think are tacky...

well, there are a lot!!!

but I am sitting in my BEACH HOUSE this afternoon, looking at the ocean, while my husband and son are playing basketball at the Y, so I thought I would narrow it down:)

1.  The fact that I have not posted pics of all the work that my family has done to help me sit here at my BEACH HOUSE AND LOOK AT THE OCEAN (yes, that is tacky).

2.  people taking pictures of themselves in their cars or in their bathrooms and with their hands up in the air so that the camera is looking "down"on them.  yes, very tacky!  And the makeup guy at Nordstrom's said that this was the drag queen pose (by the way, please share that on fb, keeli!)

3.  people taking pictures of their feet!!!  TACKY!!!!!  BUT..... i just had my first pedicure in several months and I really WANT to take a picture of my feet, propped up with the ocean in the background!!  But, since I do think this is very tacky, i will refrain!

4.  Me putting BEACH HOUSE in all caps..... tacky:)  With LOOKING AT THE OCEAN in all caps..... tacky:)  but still loving it!!!

After tomorrow, it is Spring Break!!!  Woo hoo!!!  I am sure that is just annoying to some people that don't get a "spring break" but no one really reads this blog.  And the few that do, know what it feels like to be on spring break, so no, that is not tacky to brag about being on Spring Break!!!  Because I know that everyone that even glances at this post, knows what Spring Break feels like:)!!!

Two Months Later......

and I am finally taking 5 minutes to enjoy the view!  I "stood" on my porch this evening and took a breath.  There is still much to be done, but we are slowing down.  I can not wait to do some before and after shots:)  I was standing on my porch tonight when I took these pictures with my phone.  I admit I zoomed a little bit, but only as much as my phone would let me!

This was from Colton's porch, a little bit later.  Breathtaking!!!

I AM HOME!
