Ok, this is so funny!  And check out Epidsode 1 as well.  Leigh and I watched it several times the day of her wedding!  I have said most of these things many times!

I got some Ocean Front property in.....

Do you know the song?  Rod has been singing it for one day.  Well...... it isn't ocean front, but it is closer than I ever imagined being able to live near the ocean!

Rod and I bought a house!!!  on Tybee!!!  Woo Hoo!!!!  And...... it has ocean views and lighthouse views and we walked in and fell in love!  Not so much with the surfaces on the inside (got some painting to do:) but with the porches (I have always wanted a porch and have never had one!) and the views and the location and EVERYTHING else!!!  We are so excited!

I can not believe it!  We went and looked, and we could not resist!  The inside is great, just needs paint!  the bedrooms will have to have new flooring, but besides that.... everything else is manageable!  It looks small from the pictures, but it is 1700 square feet.  It has three bedrooms, three full baths.  It has a shower downstairs too!  I am so excited!!

L..... i put all the pictures that Rod took at the wedding on the share site.  It was so beautiful!!  They got married at Christ Church in downtown Raleigh, then had the reception at Cobblestone Hall.  Rod didn't get alot of pictures, but I can not wait to see the pics that the photographer took!  We will be in Lbg. tomorrow!  See you then!

I went out this morning and waatched the sunrise.  It didn't rise until 7:20 today, so it wasn't that early:)  It was so peaceful and beautiful!!!

Ernie and Football

Colton was ""Ernie" (in the bathtub) for his PTO performance.  He had to blow bubbles while they sang Ernie's bathtub song.  Wow, I was impressed!  I told the music teacher that she was very brave.  She said, "Yeah, I worried about that so much.  I chose two boys for that part and wondered why i didn't choose girls:)"

Oh.... and football has begun!  And we had a GREAT time!  Colton did really good.  He plays offense and defense.

There is my #70, giving it his all!  He did so good:)  He is still a little unsure of what/when to do in certain situations.  One reason.... is because he NEVER watches sports!  I have to MAKE him watch sports.  Is he athletic... no doubt.  Is he aggressive... definitely.  Does he love sports????  I can't quite figure it out???

ok!  it is 3rd grade and I will admit that I am still believing and I still have faith that Tracy West CAN HANDLE HIM!!!!  so far, she is dead on!!!  Colton Michael Cassidy might have met his match!  And...  I LOVE IT!!!

Football.....It was hot! Wow, I was sweating and I didn't have a helmet, shoulder pads, etc... on. Football is not easy. I know that sounds like a joke, but I don't mean for Colton, I mean for me! I am talking about keeping up and cleaning all the equipment, etc.... it is a lot! Quite overwhelming to me:) The pads and helmet have to be aired out???? The pants shouldn't be washed after every practice???? Notice the question marks???? This is new to me! And Colton! So, we are excited! Colton has played soccer and baseball since he was two. Poor thing!! His mama thought it was the thing to do. Maybe the thing to do is wait and let them want to do something. What does Colton "want to do"? Well, gymnastics, boy scouts, karate...... maybe a break dancing class! I have to put myself in those places. It isn't about me. I HAVE to quit making it! I tell Colton all the time that he is the only one that can control what he does. I am the only one that can realize that Colton is not a mini version of what I want him to be. He is not necessarily the Three Letter Sport (you know.... Football, Basketball (or Wrestling), Baseball) A Honor Roll kid. Even though he has the FULL POTENTIAL to be that! He just might be the A Honor Roll, break-dancing kid:)!! Or................................. I just want to find out. Explore all options...... help not harm!! Please let him tell me one day that I did not harm! I helped! But............. I don't want to help by enabling. I can not enable. I can not force my will and wishes. I have to enforce structure and respect, but let this angel be who he is!

I have had it in my mind the last several years to recreate the PreK picture we took!  I have just realized that the PreK picture was taken AFTER school, not before!  The last two years, I have been harassing Keeli to take remakes in the AM!  Now I know, we can just do it AFTER school!

Leslie, I am coming to Laurinburg this weekend!  I hope I get to see you!  I will call you Friday afternoon!  Ya'll definitely need to do a trip!  The National Parks are so amazing!  I would wait until Finley was 6 or older, but SO worth it!!!!  And, The Dude Ranch was so much fun too!  I would really recommend that as well!

Third Grade!!!

No, I CAN NOT believe it!!!!!  Can you????  Third Grade????  My baby boy!!  Yes, as rambunctious and wild as he is, there is such an innocence about him.  He can be so sweet, mannerly and PERFECT!! (Not all the time, but sometimes:)  He can be loving and helpful!  He gives me a kiss, he rubs my arm, he tells me he loves me, he snuggles up at night and wiggles in the chair, he steals my heart even when he makes me crazy!!!!!  When I see him at school, he turns his palm inward and waves me over.  I really need to film that wave.  It drives me crazy when I am on the way to a meeting, I see his class and I hear, "Mom, come here!"   Oh, how I know people are waiting.... but this boy wants me!  He needs me!  And, I might not always respond in the best way and I might get frustrated, and rattled... but I want him to know how much I love him and that I would do anything (that includes rappeling off of an arch, going to the ballpark today by myself to feed the pitching machine), yes.... I mean ANYTHING for him!

And SK, if you are reading this.... Thank you SO much for what you said to me at the meeting last week! It really meant alot to me. I struggle with trying to be the best mom I can be and I feel like a failure every day! I hope he will appreciate the things I have done for him one day! I had never camped or slept in a tent before he came into this world! I put on my big girl panties a long time ago when it came to him experiencing life, now if I can just do it when I have to deal with his behavior:) and other people's response to it and him!
