Easter Party

Mrs. Hartman is the para-professional in Colton's classroom and she is a certified teacher.  She is unbelievably patient and kind.  She told me a story about Colton in an Easter Egg toss game with one of his classmates.  She told me that he got teamed up with a girl.  At first he was upset, then he figured out a way to teach Emman what to do and they ended up coming in second place in the class.  His competitive nature was used in a good way:)!!  She is always so positive.  She always tells me positive stuff about him and it makes me so happy.

I know all of Colton's faults and his strengths.  he has always been so active and aggressive, so when I hear about his gentle, sweet side, it makes me so happy!

Mother's Day Blessing

On Mother's Day, Rod, Colton and I ate hamburgers and homemade french fries (my favorite food in the world).  When it came time to say the blessing... Colton said the usual... "God is great, God is good...."  then he paused.... and said, "Thank you God for Mother's Day"!  Totally unprompted!  My heart stopped beating for a second!  My love for him is more than I could ever express!!!

He is MY HEART and he makes me COMPLETE!!!!

I am going to "catch up" on some posts!!!

I DO LOVE......

THIS BOY!!!!

This is my favorite picture of him in a very long time!

He has a great stance for hitting!  It all just comes natural to him (with a little bit of coaching:), which continues to amaze me EVERY day!

Posing for pictures!

THE MUDCATS!!!

I love these kind of pictures for some reason.  When we took our cowboy pictures, I tried to get one like this.  There were several that I liked, but nothing that I wanted to frame, etc....

Another win!  First game of regular season!!  So record is 1-0.  Our next game is going to be hard though!  We will be playing the preseason tournament champs.  From what I hear, they are a great team!  I will let you all know if we "hold our own"!!

Love the huddle at the end of the games!  It always makes the kids feel good whether they have won or lost!  It just creates a team spirit that is awesome!!!

Baseball Season has begun!

And they are playing real ball!  No more sweet, everybody have fun, doesn't matter, not keeping score stuff!
We are keeping score and these people are serious about baseball.  Rod is the coach and I got the lovely position of scorekeeper!  We have played in two little tournaments, and we only won one game, but it was good for them to have that one win.  We are in a seven and eight year old league and we mainly have seven year olds on our team.  They are good, but I think the one year of experience really makes a difference.  Rod was not able to come yesterday because of work.  The other coach had something else going on, so our friend Chap filled in.  It was our first win:)  Rod said it was due to all his previous coaching!!

Eye on the ball!

Getting ready to make contact!

That is Colton on 3rd base, ready to score!

Tagging home plate, one of the best feelings you can have in the game of baseball!

Getting ready to shake the other team's hands.

I love this picture.  I wanted pics of the team in their huddle and Braxton turned around and smiled for the camera.  He is in Colton's class and he is really cute.  Him and his older brother are on the team.  They are awesome ball players.  They practice every day together and it shows when they get on the field!!

1, 2, 3............

GO MUDCATS!!!!!!!

I love this last picture!   The boys were so excited.  We played two games yesterday.  We won the first and lost the second.  They were tired.  We had a 5 minute break between the two games.  Regular season starts Monday!
